OUR STORY
It started with a half-finished home and a question we couldn't stop asking.
We were deep into a residential build in Los Angeles, a project we'd poured ourselves into, when we hit the same wall we always did.
The tile selections felt off. Character-less, mass-produced, "algorithmic" surfaces dressed up in random names that wouldn't even ship on time.
Every time we searched for materials, we felt the same quiet disappointment.
What if material shopping felt less like a chore and more like a tasteful discovery?
As the projects grew, our idea grew too.
While creating homes, we demanded materials that were aesthetic, authentic, and modern.
We flew to Italy, Greece, Morocco, China, India, Portugal, and Dubai to source materials.
We sat in workshops and watched artisans cut marble by hand, tumble travertine individually, press ceramic into molds passed down through generations.
We brought those materials back to LA. And our projects evolved.
At that moment, our design-build studio in LA gave birth to HAUS.

Our designers work from actual architectural briefs, the same ones our BSD teams are executing. Every tile is considered in the context of a mood, a light source, a lifestyle philosophy.
