Shipping policy
At HAUS, we believe beautiful materials should arrive with clear expectations.
Tile is heavy, fragile, and often shipped by freight, so our shipping process is built around transparency, protection, and real delivery logistics. Below is exactly how we process, ship, and calculate delivery costs, so you know what to expect before your order leaves our Los Angeles warehouse.
1. Order Processing
- In-stock tile and accessories are processed from our Los Angeles warehouse within 3 business days after payment confirmation.
- Orders placed on weekends or holidays begin processing the next business day.
- Sample orders ship every Tuesday.
- For backordered, pre-order, or in-transit materials, the product page or our team will provide the current estimated lead time before fulfillment.
2. Shipping Methods & Rates
| Service | Transit Time | What Ships This Way | Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| UPS Ground | Up to 10 business days | Samples and small decor items | Flat rate $10 per order |
| LTL Freight Curbside Delivery |
7 to 14 business days after pickup is scheduled | All palletized tile orders | Fixed regional freight rate + $0.50 per pound |
| Local Pickup | Arranged upon request | All products | Free from our Los Angeles warehouse |
Please note: Transit times begin after your order has been picked up by the carrier. Transit estimates do not include weekends, holidays, warehouse processing time, or carrier appointment scheduling.
3. How Freight Shipping Is Calculated
Most full tile orders ship by LTL freight because tile is heavy, fragile, and must be packed securely on a pallet.
To keep our shipping process transparent, freight is calculated using a simple formula:
Freight cost = fixed regional freight rate + $0.50 per pound
- The fixed regional freight rate is based on your delivery ZIP code and its distance from our Los Angeles warehouse.
- The $0.50 per pound charge is based on the total weight of your order.
In plain terms: your location sets the base freight cost, and your order weight adjusts the final rate.
This is why two orders with the same tile may have different shipping rates if they are going to different ZIP codes.
We show freight this way because we would rather explain the real cost of moving heavy material safely than hide it inside product pricing.
4. Fixed Freight Rate Guide
For full transparency, below are our current fixed regional freight rates before the weight-based charge is added.
| Freight Zone | Common Delivery Region | Fixed Regional Rate | Weight Charge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zone 1 | California, including Los Angeles and San Francisco areas | $243.62 | + $0.50/lb |
| Zone 2 | Arizona and Nevada, including Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Reno areas | $289.91 | + $0.50/lb |
| Zone 3 | Oklahoma and Texas, including Oklahoma City, Dallas, and Houston areas | $435.56 | + $0.50/lb |
| Zone 4 | Select Mountain, Midwest, and Southern routes, including Idaho, Louisiana, New Mexico, North Dakota, and Wisconsin | $416.14 | + $0.50/lb |
| Zone 5 | Many Central, Pacific Northwest, and Eastern routes, including Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Ohio, Utah, Alabama, Kentucky, and surrounding states | $499.83 | + $0.50/lb |
| Zone 6 | Many East Coast, Southeast, Great Lakes, and New England routes, including Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Massachusetts | $517.92 | + $0.50/lb |
| Zone 7 | New York, Maine, and select far Northeast routes | $556.22 | + $0.50/lb |
| Custom Quote | Alaska, Hawaii, and special delivery situations | Quoted by request | Based on shipment |
Example: If a palletized tile order ships to a Zone 2 address and weighs 300 lbs, the estimated freight cost would be:
$289.91 fixed regional rate + $150.00 weight charge = $439.91 estimated freight
Final shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the delivery ZIP code and total order weight.
5. State Zone Guide

6. LTL Freight Delivery Expectations
LTL freight deliveries are curbside deliveries.
This means the carrier will deliver the pallet to the curb, driveway, or accessible delivery area at the shipping address. Freight delivery does not include inside delivery, room-of-choice placement, stairs, elevator handling, unpacking, or installation.
For LTL freight shipments, the carrier will contact you directly to schedule a delivery appointment. Please make sure your phone number and delivery address are correct at checkout.
If your delivery location has limited access, narrow roads, gated entry, special hours, jobsite restrictions, or requires a liftgate, please contact us before your order ships so we can help prevent delivery issues.
7. Tracking & Delivery
- You will receive tracking information by email once your shipping label or Bill of Lading has been created.
- For UPS shipments, tracking will update through the parcel carrier.
- For LTL freight shipments, tracking may update differently than standard parcel tracking. The carrier may also contact you directly to schedule the final delivery appointment.
8. Local Pickup
Local pickup is available by request from our Los Angeles warehouse.
Once your order is ready, our team will coordinate pickup details with you directly. Please do not arrive for pickup until your order has been confirmed as ready.
9. Damaged or Lost Shipments
Tile is packed carefully, but freight can be rough. Please inspect your shipment as soon as it arrives.
If your shipment arrives damaged, incomplete, or appears mishandled, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing:
Email: infohaus@bsd.group
Please include:
- Clear photos of the damaged product
- Clear photos of the packaging and pallet
- A short description of the issue
- Your order number
Please keep all packaging until the issue has been reviewed. This helps us work with the carrier and resolve the claim as quickly as possible.
