Ceres

Earthy, generous, and quietly structured, Ceres brings the mood of cultivated ground into an interior setting. Its warm tone and long carved profile feel agricultural in the best sense—rooted, sun-marked, and shaped by repetition—offering a more tactile alternative to flat neutral surfaces.

Made from honed beige travertine, Ceres shows natural porosity, soft movement, and the dry finish that gives travertine its distinctive honesty. The long format emphasizes the stone’s tonal drift, while the carved face is handled with restraint so the texture remains integrated rather than overly dramatic.

The concave fluting creates channels of shadow that sharpen and soften as light changes across the day. Across a wall, the design reads as an orderly vertical field; near at hand, its sculpted surface becomes much more pronounced.
